INSTRUCTORS COURSES

A NRA training counselor from Olympia will teach three things: Range Safety, Instructors Certification Course, and Home Safety and Outside the home.  Steve will set the dates.  This course is a ten- hour course, one evening and Saturday.  After successful completion of the course you will be able to teach courses.  The date has not been set yet.

SHOOTING ACTIVITIES

Bowling Pin shoot will be held the last week of April on a Thursday.  Steve, Lee, Brad, and Jeff Gillespie met after the meeting to come up with rules and categories.

SELF DEFENSE IN THE HOME COURSE

The course will be three evenings and one Saturday.  Tell those you know who might be interested to call Steve Carmick (748-7671) and get their names on the list.  If any of you want to be involved as participants or trainers, it’s not too late.  The course will include safety law and tactics and they will bring a variety of pistols so you can see what you like.  The course will hold 30 students.  Information will be on the web site.  Steve Carmick will be teaching law and tactics.

PATCHES

Centralia Rifle Club patches will be for sale.  We are also purchasing tee shirts with the club logo, which will be available for sale.

CMP

Civilian Marksmanship Program membership has been renewed.  As a CMP affiliated club can buy less expensive ammunition and enables us to buy Kimber 22 target rifles at a good price.

HUNTER EDUCATION

Hunter education will be held on May 31 and on August 18-23.  Another group will be held August 4,5,6, and 9th Weeknights and a Saturday all day.  Participants will be required to sign hold harmless agreements prior to participation by parents and/or adults.

DELINQUENT MEMBERSHIPS

An annual membership update form will be sent out with membership notices, and will be required to be turned in with membership dues each year.

BUILDING TINNING BIDS

We have two bids and may be getting another one.  This issue was tabled pending receiving more information.

REPLACEMENT PLAN FOR RIFLES

A new Kimber CMP Model 82 Rifle will be purchased, it comes with sites, and will sell one plain Jane older Winchester 75, rifle.

INSURANCE VALUES OF CLUB RIFLES

Since replacement cost was figured with more expensive rifles, the purchase of Kimber at less cost will allow us to spend less for insurance.
