CIVIL AIR PATROL BME

The Civil Air Patrol function went smoothly; two rifles misfired; one fell apart and Steve fixed it.  The bill was sent to BME for $400.00.

 

The club bought 55,000 rounds, 20,000 of a better grade.  Contact Lee Hayes or Steve Carmick if you want to buy any.

 

SIDING

We are waiting to hear from the contractor on the siding.

 

GRANTS

Sue Carmick is completing applications for grants.  One is $5,000 Range Improvement Grant.  Another is from NRA Foundation

 

HUNTER EDUCATION

Hunter Education class is August 4, 5, & 6.

 

Six young people from the Church of God in Onalaska took basic rifle training 100 rounds and all four positions.  All donations have been paid.

 

BOWLING SHOOT

·         The bowling pin shoot had 22 shooters.

 

PATCHES AND T SHIRTS

·         Patches are $5.00

·         T Shirts are $20.00

 

GUTTERS ON WEST FASCIA

Will be carried forward.

 

UPDATE APPLICATION MEMBERSHIP FORMS

Being worked on.

 

SALE OF WINCHESTERS

It was moved seconded, and passes to explore selling the old Winchesters to Cabella’s for at least $500.00.

 

The club will need at least five empty rifle boxes if the Winchesters are put on e-bay.

 

PAINTING OF YELLOW LINE

Vance Hendricks found someone willing to paint the yellow line.

 

 

FAIR

The club has a pellet booth in the Wildlife Building. The club has air rifles and swinging targets for people to shoot at.  Sue will have a sign up sheet.  The shifts will be four hours each.  The fair begins on August 12.  Senior cadets and NCO officers can also man the booth.

 

Suggestion for next year is to put on quick Eddie Eagle shows with simulated weapons, look real with red plastic.

 

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER CLASS

Will probably be held 3rd week in August.  All are encouraged to attend.  The class will be all day Saturday and half a day on Sunday.  Check the web-site for details.

 

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Fire extinguishers have expired.  Steve Carmick will take them to be recharged.

 

OPPORTUNITIES

The club needs volunteers to help with sweeping the range.

 

USE OF TABLES AND CHAIRS

Brad Tarbet is getting married on August 16 and was given permission to use the tables and chairs.

 

Steve was given permission to use the tables and chairs July 28th for use with the International Air Cadets.
