GUTTERS

Steve Carmick reported gutters on the east side on the sloped roof have been torn off and the club needs to purchase 2x6’s to be painted and screwed on with new gutters on the outside. 

Steve and/or Dan Freeman will help.  It was moved, seconded and approved to purchase 2x6’s up to maximum of $200.00.

 

NEWSPAPER ADS

Discussion was held regarding the cost and benefit of running the club’s ad in the newspapers. 

The club will run the ad on Thursdays every other week.

 

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Membership dues are due in January.  Remember when you pay your NRA membership dues to put the code #C005860J on your renewal.  Using the code gives the club credit and a portion of the fee is returned to the club.

 

 

RANGE CLOSED

The range will be closed March 21, 2009 for the Washington State Junior Indoor Rifle Team competition.

 

RIFLE PURCHASE/SALE

The club received three new rifles; Brad will get the sights on them tonight.

 

The club still has Remington 541’s for sale.  $450.00 to members or $499.00 on the Internet in lots of two.

 

Five Winchesters were sold for $350-$400 one was to a member for $300.00

 

GUN SAFETY IN THE HOME

A Self-defense Course will be held sometime in April.  The exact dates haven’t been decided yet. 

The course will include some range firing.  People need to know how to shoot as well as when to shoot.  A shooting basic pistol course will follow right after.  There will we a reduced price for both.  There will be four sessions over a two-week period.  The cost will be $65 per student.  The on range course will need RSO’s.  This will be a basic bulls eye course.

 

READER BOARD

Brad will make brackets and the Reader Board will be up and installed by February 21.Brad has ladders.  Lee Bolen, Neil Harmon, Steve Carmick, and Brad Tarbet volunteered to help with the installation.

 

BULLSEYE LEAGUE

Bull’s-eye League will start the first Thursday in February.

 

CIVIL AIR CADETS

An event is planned for March 6, 7, & 8 also May 29, 30, & 31.

 

MASONIC SHOOT

The Masonic’s rented the range for an evening.  All had a good time.  They will probable rent the range again in the spring.  Thank you to the RSO’s who helped with the event.

 

HEATERS

Discussion was held regarding the furnace in the range.  It stopped working and we can’t find anyone to work on it.  Several ideas were discussed.  Lee Hayes will research thoroughly.  A suggestion was made to include the cost of a thermostat with a lock box.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

More copies of the applications will be placed at the door.

LINE PAINTING

It was approved to allow a volunteer to repaint the lines in the range.  Greg Martin agreed to do it.
