MEMBERSHIP DUES

Membership dues are due in January.  Remember when you pay your NRA membership dues to put the code #C005860J on your renewal.  Using the code gives the club credit and a portion of the fee is returned to the club.

 

RANGE CLOSED

The range will be closed March 21, 2009 for the Washington State Junior Indoor Rifle Team competition.

 

RIFLE PURCHASE/SALE

The club sold old rifles and ordered 3 Kimber rifles at $600.00 each.

 

It was moved, seconded, and approved to sell Remingtons and purchase Kimber rifles 2 at a time

 

The club still has Remington 541’s for sale.  $450.00 to members or $600.00 on gunbroker.com.

 

GUTTERS

The fascia boards have been installed.  We need someone to hang the gutters.  There are 3 sections, one down spout each.  Approximate cost for the installation is $600.00

 

PATCHES AND T SHIRTS

·         Patches are $5.00

·         T Shirts are $20.00

·         Hats $10.00

Holly was authorized to purchase 12 more shirts in various sizes.

 

GUN SAFETY IN THE HOME

Gun safety in the home training is planned for April.

 

READER BOARD

The application has been turned in to the City.  Brad has designed an aluminum mounting system.

 

 

BOWLING PIN SHOOT

The plan is to start another bowling pin shoot.  Dave Morgan will lead the bowling pin shoot.

 

Discussion was held regarding the repair of the tables after bowling pin shoots.  Skip Blank agreed to help with the table repair.  A decision on the type of repair was tabled until next month.

 

HIGH SCHOOL RIFLE TEAMS

The high school rifle teams use the range at the following times:

  • Tuesday and Thursday 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday and Friday 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
  • Matches will be held on Monday night approx. 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

 

Brad Tarbet reported the rifle teams are low on ammunition and the club will need to purchase 10,000 rounds.

 

Steve reported the need for shooting jackets.  The cost is $85.00-$110.00 each.  They need 8 for each team.  Steve and Brad will come up with the details.

 

 

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The nominating committee will be Lee Hayes, Steve Carmick, and Brad Tarbet.  Anyone interested in serving on the board should contact a member of the nominating committee.

 

MASONS SHOOTING NIGHT

The Masons want to hold a shooting night at our club.  On Friday December 12th from 7:00 – 10:00.  The fee will be $15.00 per person at the door.  We need volunteer RSO’s for the event.

 

CIVIL AIR CADETS

An event is planned for March 6, 7, & 8 also May 29, 30, & 31.

 

The meeting was adjourned.

 

The next meeting will be held on January 5th.
